Talking to a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, People's Artist Kim Cuong said she was taken good care of by the medical team at the Ho Chi Minh City Heart Institute during the time she was being treated for her heart disease.

"I also received a visit from the Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Heart Institute. The doctors were interested in my volunteer activities. When I said that currently there are many artists in the fields of: hát bội, cải lương, drama, circus, magic... and backstage workers whose lives are very difficult, medical examinations and heart screenings as well as other functions are not funded.
Hearing that, the board of directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Heart Institute opened up, expressing their intention to cooperate with me to organize a general examination for artists in difficulty or with illnesses" - People's Artist Kim Cuong recounted emotionally.

She said she has contacted the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association to carefully organize trips to bring veteran artists, artists and backstage workers in difficult circumstances who are being treated for underlying diseases.
"It will be organized in batches, with shuttle buses for general examinations and screening for underlying diseases to promptly have timely treatment measures. This is my year-end joy when organizing it with the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association" - People's Artist Kim Cuong said.
She and the authorities will make a list and organize medical examinations. This year, after 10 years of organizing the "Soulmate Artist" program, she has temporarily stopped because she is no longer healthy enough to run for sponsorship.
"Instead, I received a beautiful gesture from the Ho Chi Minh City Heart Institute to take care of my colleagues' health, which is very warm. This year, I will take care of Tet within my own strength, and I don't have enough strength to run around and take care of each Tet gift like every year" - People's Artist Kim Cuong expressed her feelings.
