Meritorious Artist Minh Thu and Khanh Linh tell about Vietnamese culture and history through music

(Dan Tri) - Meritorious Artist Minh Thu, Khanh Linh, the traveling couple Nguyen Dong - Hoang Trang... will be the artists honoring unique cultural and historical values through meaningful music projects.

Vietnam Journey is a non-profit project with 35 cultural events to be held in 34 provinces, cities and Truong Sa archipelago in the near future.

According to the representative of the Organizing Committee, the project was inspired by the troubadour movements in Vietnamese music , especially the liberal and humane Dong Noi troupe of musician Tran Tien.

The Vietnam Journey will explore and honor the unique cultural and historical values of many localities.

Each land the project passes through will be told in a separate cultural language, creating a vivid, colorful and emotional overall artistic picture of Vietnam," the representative of the Organizing Committee shared.

At each destination, Vietnam Journey will introduce a series of free community events, combining art, music, cuisine, traditional cultural exhibitions, visits to craft villages and community tourism and sports activities.

The core activity of the project is music nights held at locations associated with heritage, with long-standing history and cultural traditions, with stage designs inspired by the spirit of closeness to nature, bringing the most authentic and meaningful experience.

The project also brings songs that have become part of the cultural heritage and become part of everyday speech in the Vietnamese community.

Folk songs, revolutionary music, lullabies, etc. imbued with the soul and customs of the provinces and cities are also performed.

The project is expected to last 5 years (2025-2030), officially starting in Hanoi in August this year and will end in Ho Chi Minh City in December 2030.

As a meaningful starting point of the Vietnam Journey , the music night Flags in the Sky of the Fatherland will officially take place at 7:30 p.m. on August 31 at the Au Co Art Center, Hanoi.

The music night had the participation of many artists such as: Music Director Nguyen Xuan Hung, Meritorious Artist Minh Thu, Khanh Linh, traveling couple Nguyen Dong - Hoang Trang, Flute artist Suong Mai, singers Anh Phong, Thanh Hien...

The program is held in the sacred atmosphere of the August days and the historic National Day September 2, promising to bring an artistic space filled with pride and love for the homeland and the Fatherland.
