Warmly welcoming us, Mr. Truong Xuan Truong (in village 2 Yen Tho, Tan Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province) said: "In Tan Hoa, whenever it rains heavily, there is flooding, so this scene is familiar. Now the water has submerged half of the house, so my family is living in a floating house. Firewood, rice, vegetables, meat... have been prepared in advance, so now we take them out to cook. In a moment, my wife and I will have to go fishing with nets, there are a lot of small fish this season."
Mr. Vo Van Bon (from Vung Tau) is a person who has traveled to Tan Hoa village many times. While kayaking to visit the "best tourist village in the world ", Mr. Bon stopped and talked to the reporter: "I like the scenery in this village. The houses are located in the middle of a valley surrounded by majestic limestone mountains. During the past few days here, I saw heavy rain and the water rose quickly. As usual, people prepared food in floating houses and then stayed there. Even in the storm, the people were not worried and even cooked rice to invite me to eat with them."

Talking to PV Dan Viet, Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong - Deputy Director of Tan Hoa Operations Department under Chua Me Dat Company Limited (Oxalis), shared: "Tan Hoa is the best tourist village in the world, adapting to the weather is a criterion to be recognized for that. Basically, weather-adapted tourism is adapting for the whole season, not just a few days of flooding. When we get used to floods and find ways to adapt, floods become normal."
"We want people to see the floods in Tan Hoa as normal and when the water recedes, everything will return to normal as quickly as possible. Weather-adaptive tourism is not built to welcome guests on flood days but can welcome guests in different weather conditions," said Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong.

Talking to Dan Viet newspaper reporter, Mr. Truong Thanh Duẩn - Chairman of Tan Hoa Commune People's Committee said: "The recent floods have caused more than 400 houses in the locality to be deeply flooded. Although the water level has risen, people still live normally when they go up to the floating house. Inside the house, people have stored food for many days and when the water level rises, the floating house will automatically float up, so the people living in the house are always safe."
