DNVN - Vietnam has successfully exported its first batch of fruit juice to Pakistan - a country famous for its title of "mango empire". This is considered an important milestone in diversifying export products and increasing the added value of Vietnamese agricultural products.

Implementing the directive from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam Trade Office in Pakistan mobilized and led a delegation of Pakistani businesses to attend the Vietnam International Sourcing 2024 event, taking place from June 6-8, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City. The notable result was that Pakistan's leading supermarket group, IMTIAZ, imported the first batch of fruit juice from Vietnam, including products from mango, pineapple, lychee, grape, apple and guava.

Pakistan, a country known as the "mango empire" and the world's fourth largest exporter of this fruit, has a thriving mango processing industry with the participation of large corporations such as Nestle. Not only mangoes, Pakistan also exports many other fruits such as apples, grapes, peaches, pomegranates and guavas, making the country one of the world's largest fruit exporters, ranking 25th in terms of output.

Vietnam successfully exported its first batch of fruit juice to Pakistan - a country famous for its title of "mango empire".

IMTIAZ Group, with 27 supermarkets spread across 12 major cities of Pakistan such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar, is a leading name in the country's retail sector. Established in 1955, IMTIAZ currently distributes 52,000 products from more than 10,000 brands.

The representative of the Vietnam Trade Office in Pakistan assessed that, with its huge scale and great influence, the fact that Vietnamese products are sold at IMTIAZ is a guarantee for a large consumer market with more than 240 million people.

"The successful export of fruit juice to Pakistan is not only a source of pride for Vietnam but also opens up great opportunities for the agricultural processing industry. This move helps increase the added value of agricultural products, diversify the export structure, and at the same time create conditions to promote domestic agricultural product consumption, contributing to solving the problem of "good harvest, low price".

This cooperation also marks a new step in expanding the export market for deeply processed products from Vietnamese agricultural products, affirming Vietnam's potential and position on the international trade map," emphasized the representative of the Vietnam Trade Office in Pakistan.
