After 2 days of serious work with the spirit of solidarity, democracy and responsibility, at noon on August 23, the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Kien Giang province, term 2024 - 2029, completed the proposed contents and programs.
The consultative congress elected 91 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province, term XI, 2024-2029 (8 more than term X).
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province, term XI, 2024-2029, held its first meeting, consulted to elect the Chairman, 2 Vice Chairmen and 6 Standing Committee members.
Mr. Le Thanh Viet, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province for the 2019-2024 term, was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province for the 2024-2029 term. The two Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province for the 11th term are Mr. Ngo Phuong Vu and Mr. Pham Thanh Hung.
The Congress also sent a delegation to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, including 8 official members and 2 alternate members.
Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Kien Giang province Mai Van Huynh congratulated the 91 members elected by the Consultative Congress to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XI, 2024-2029.
Mr. Mai Van Huynh said that Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee hopes and also believes that the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province will continue to innovate its working methods, promote its leading role, proactiveness in consultation, and coordinate and unify actions among members to create a combined strength. With your prestige and capacity, please uphold your sense of responsibility, focus your intelligence, and actively participate in contributing to the success of the Congress.
"Promoting the achievements of the past term and the success of today's Congress, the Provincial Party Committee believes that this Congress will create a new momentum, the Provincial Fatherland Front will definitely rise up to fulfill its responsibilities; continue to be the center of solidarity, boldly innovate thinking and working methods, stick closely to the grassroots, stick closely to the people, create social consensus, and strive to successfully implement the Resolution of the Congress, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of the province," said Mr. Mai Van Huynh.
In his closing speech at the Congress, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang Province Le Thanh Viet said that the 11th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will continue to strengthen and further promote the strength of the Great National Unity, enhance the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and is determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee and the Action Program of the 11th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024-2029 term.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Mr. Le Thanh Viet called on all classes of people inside and outside the province, overseas Vietnamese to raise their spirit and responsibility to join hands and unite under the leadership of the Party and the Government to build a rich and civilized homeland of Kien Giang.
