As of 11:00 a.m. on November 6 (Vietnam time), according to an update from page 270 to Win , Republican candidate Donald Trump has won 246 electoral votes, while Democratic opponent Kamala Harris is accelerating and has won 162 votes.

Although the results are quite different, the battleground states are the "lands" that the candidates have their eyes on.

Mr. Trump won consecutive victories in two battleground states, Georgia and North Carolina, both with 16 electoral votes.

For her part, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has 169 electoral votes, after winning the state with the most electoral votes - California (54 votes).

Meanwhile, according to the updated results of the AP news agency, after letting Ms. Harris lead by double points in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, candidate Trump has now come back and taken the lead here, with a ratio of 51.3% - 47.8% out of a total of 73% of the votes counted.

According to Fox News, in other battleground states, the two candidates are in a tight race. Wisconsin (10 votes) is witnessing the most intense chase with the support rate for both candidates at 49% out of nearly 50% of votes counted.

In Michigan (15 votes), the gap between the two candidates is also very close, Ms. Harris is leading her Republican opponent by 49.9%-48.3%.

The remaining two battleground states, Nevada and Arizona, have yet to release their election figures.

A battleground state, also known as a swing state, is a term used to describe a state that has a large number of electoral votes but no party candidate has a clear advantage in the election. This year, the seven decisive battleground states are Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

To become president of the United States, a candidate must receive at least 270 of the nation's 538 electoral votes.
