On December 20, Ngu Hanh Son District Police ( Da Nang City) said they are consolidating records and documents to handle two establishments producing and trading fresh vermicelli and noodles in the area for violating regulations on ensuring food hygiene and safety.
Earlier, in the early morning of the same day, a working group of the Economic - Environmental Police Team of Ngu Hanh Son District Police suddenly inspected two establishments producing, processing and trading fresh vermicelli and noodles in Hoa Hai Ward and Hoa Quy Ward (Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City).
These are two large-scale production and processing facilities, not only supplying Ngu Hanh Son District, but also many districts in Da Nang City as well as neighboring districts in Quang Nam .
Fresh vermicelli and noodle products at 2 production facilities do not meet food safety conditions
The inspection results showed that, despite large-scale production, the two facilities above did not have a certificate of food safety eligibility.
Regarding the workers working at the facility at the time of inspection, those in direct contact with food did not wear full protective gear, and the production area was moldy.
The owner of the facility and the employees directly involved in food production and processing do not have a certificate of food safety training...
Production facilities do not meet the prescribed conditions.
Faced with violations, the Economic and Environmental Police Team of Ngu Hanh Son District Police drew up a record of two establishments, forcing them to correct the shortcomings.
In addition to making a record as a basis for punishment, Ngu Hanh Son District Police said they will continue to conduct post-inspections. If the establishments re-offend and cannot correct their violations, they will suspend their operations.
