Promoting the role and value of Trang An Heritage in building a millennium heritage city

To achieve the above goal, one of the most concerned issues is planning to preserve and promote the comprehensive value of heritage. The planning for the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the Trang An - Tam Coc - Bich Dong National Special Scenic Landscape, Ninh Binh Province until 2030, with a vision to 2050, was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 821/QD-TTG dated July 10, 2023, setting out practical planning requirements and solutions.

Specifically, it is necessary to honor the “unique” values of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, while resolving conflicts, inadequacies and difficulties. The issue also raised in this conservation planning work is the need to inherit and integrate the plans that have been and are being implemented; integrate existing national and international legal documents; identify and develop specific tasks for the master plan, in accordance with the approved heritage management plan.

In addition, the conservation and promotion of green space values in the Trang An scenic complex - World Cultural and Natural Heritage is equally important. In the future, Ninh Binh province needs to strengthen education , raise awareness of environmental protection laws, heritage protection, natural landscapes in the scenic complex, especially the core area - heritage protection area; create conditions for people living in the heritage complex to participate in protecting, preserving and developing green tourism, eco-tourism. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen forest fire prevention and control, especially in the Hoa Lu primeval forest area.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Thanh Binh affirmed that in the coming time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO will continue to accompany Ninh Binh so that the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex continues to be a model in preserving and promoting heritage values, contributing to realizing the aspiration of building Ninh Binh into a millennium heritage city and a creative city of UNESCO.
