Previously, while eating, Mr. LPT (30 years old, living in Soc Trang ) unfortunately got a chicken bone stuck in his throat and bought medicine to take for 3 days but the pain did not subside. Afterwards, his family took him to the emergency room at Hoan My Cuu Long General Hospital in a state of fatigue, fever, bloating, diarrhea, accompanied by severe pain above the navel, the pain increasing day by day.

After examination and paraclinical examination, abdominal MSCT results detected a radiopaque foreign body measuring 4 x 12 mm, penetrating the wall of the ileal loop in the right iliac fossa, the ileal loop was thick, edematous, and infiltrated with surrounding fat. The ileum occupies about half of the lower length of the small intestine.
After consultation, the patient was scheduled for emergency surgery to remove the foreign object, a piece of chicken bone. After surgery, the patient recovered quickly, the pain was completely gone, and he was able to eat and drink normally.
