In August 2024, the socio-economic situation continued to be stable. In agricultural production, the harvested area of the Summer-Autumn crop exceeded 14.8%; the conversion of crop structure reached 100% of the plan; livestock development was stable, meat output increased by 18.6%; disease prevention and control work on crops and livestock was strictly controlled. Some processed and manufactured industrial products showed signs of recovery and increased quite well; the industrial production index (IIP) in August increased by 10.06%; the accumulated increase in 8 months was 11.06% over the same period. Trade and service activities were vibrant and grew quite well, total retail sales of goods and service revenue increased by 13.95% over the same period last year, and the total increase in the first 8 months of the year was 13.8%. Tourism activities continued to be vibrant and increased quite well, attracting 450 thousand visitors in the month, up 21.6% over the same period, the cumulative number in 8 months is estimated at over 3 million, reaching 95.9% of the plan and up 20.8% over the same period; revenue from accommodation and catering services increased by 15.7%. Digital transformation work was focused on and directed drastically, the rate of receiving online applications reached 70.14%; disbursement of capital plan reached 49.9% of the plan, higher than the national average. Total budget revenue in August is estimated at 277.4 billion VND; total budget revenue in 8 months reached 3,284 billion VND, reaching 82% of the plan, up 35.1% over the same period. Support work to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses has been focused on; disbursement of public investment capital has been focused on and directed drastically. Social security policies continue to be focused on and fully implemented; Security, politics , social order and safety are maintained.
