She expressed her confidence that with 120 member countries, representing nearly 60% of the world's population and accounting for about 20% of the global Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the movement will continue to be a leading voice, promoting solidarity in a divided world.

To continue promoting the role of the Non-Aligned Movement, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasized that member countries need to speak with one voice to address global challenges and oppose actions that go against the principles of peace and independence.

The Vice President stressed that the movement needs to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and call for the lifting of unilateral sanctions and embargoes against Cuba and other member countries. In addition, in the spirit of solidarity in diversity, the Vice President asked the Non-Aligned Movement to respect the viewpoints and protect the interests of member countries; called on the movement to continue to respect and support ASEAN's efforts for the goal of ensuring peace , security and stability in the East Sea and Southeast Asia, promoting the settlement of disputes by peaceful means, on the basis of international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

At the same time, to maximize the cooperation potential of the Non-Aligned Movement, the Vice President said that member countries need to make better use of connection channels to enhance economic independence and autonomy and strengthen cooperation for development.

To realize the common values and aspirations of the Non-Aligned Movement for integration, peace and prosperity on a global scale, the Vice President shared that Vietnam has worked with countries in the region to build an increasingly strong ASEAN Community, consolidating ASEAN's central role in the Asia-Pacific region and in other regional linkages.

For its part, Vietnam has made many efforts to join the Non-Aligned Movement member countries in addressing the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, humanitarian crises, and responding to non-traditional security challenges such as climate change and food security. The Vice President affirmed Vietnam's commitment to continue contributing to the common cause of the movement and developing countries for the progress of humanity, for peace, prosperity and happiness.

During the two-day summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, the leaders also agreed to adopt three important documents, including the final document of the Non-Aligned Movement, which comprehensively reflects the movement's views on international and regional issues; the Kampala Declaration to reaffirm the principles and values of the movement, and the Declaration on Palestine to demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinian people. At this conference, the member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement also agreed to admit South Sudan, which is the first time in 30 years that the movement has admitted a new member.
