In Luc Hanh commune (Yen Son) along the Lo river bank, the river water is rising higher and higher due to the Tuyen Quang Hydropower Plant opening the bottom spillway, causing flooding on some roads dividing 8 villages in the commune. It is forecasted that the flood water could inundate over 100 households in Luc Hanh commune.

At the same time, focus on leading, directing, implementing drastic, timely and effective flood prevention and response work with the highest proactive spirit. Closely follow the flood situation, warn and be on duty 24/24 hours to promptly notify people in areas that may be affected.

In Tuyen Quang city, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the situation of rising river water and the work of ensuring safety for floating houses on the Lo River. According to the report of the City People's Committee, there are currently 43 households on floating houses on the river. All households have been relocated to safe places; restaurants on the river have stopped operating. All floating houses have been supported by the Army and Police forces to anchor close to the shore. The city has also prepared plans to be ready when the river water rises and causes flooding in residential areas, especially low-lying areas in the city.
