Reporters face difficulties while working at the high school exam

Along with more than 1 million candidates nationwide, on the morning of June 28, candidates from Thanh Hoa province were present at the examination sites to take the first exam subject of the 2023 high school graduation exam.

Present in Thanh Hoa City from 6:30 a.m. the same day (June 28), reporters from Education and Times Newspaper and Dan Viet Electronic Newspaper proactively went to the examination site of Ham Rong High School (Truong Thi Ward, Thanh Hoa City)... to contact the Head of the examination site in advance to facilitate the work when candidates arrived to take the exam.

However, right at the school gate, although the reporter had presented a full press card issued by the Ministry of Education and Training (along with a journalist card), the representative of this exam site still required an introduction letter from the agency where the reporter worked or an introduction letter from the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training before allowing him into the inner area to record video.

With the above strict requirements, many reporters from press agencies present at the Ham Rong High School exam site were upset with this "additional regulation".

"With a press card and a press card, the Director of the Department of Education also called, but the Chairman of the Ham Rong Examination Council did not allow the press to work before the exam time" - journalist Huu Dung explained.

According to the record, the back of the press card issued by the Steering Committee for the 2023 High School Graduation Exam (Ministry of Education and Training) clearly states: "When working at the Examination Councils, reporters must comply with the examination regulations and current legal regulations; When working at the Examination Councils, reporters must bring their press card or letter of introduction from the press agency where the reporter works".

To objectively inform the incident, the reporter contacted Mr. Tran Van Thuc, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2023 High School Graduation Exam. He asked the reporter to give the phone to the person on duty at the exam site so that the reporter could work before the drum beat to distribute the exam questions.

However, despite receiving direct instructions over the phone, reporters were still not allowed into the exam area to work.
