Parents have opinions, school decides to "stop training" students

On August 15, regarding the reflection that students were notified by the school to "stop training" right before the new school year because parents had opinions about the training program, a representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that they had received this information.

The decision to "stop training" students of Ngo Quyen High School - Dong Anh is causing a stir in public opinion.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has requested the Principal of Ngo Quyen High School - Dong Anh to seriously implement a number of related contents. Specifically, the school is responsible for arranging and assigning students to classes in accordance with regulations. The arrangement and re-arrangement of students into classes is only carried out with the consensus of all students, parents of students in the class and with the consensus of all teachers in the school's pedagogical council.

The Department of Education and Training requires Ngo Quyen High School - Dong Anh to strictly implement the disclosure of information about the school in accordance with the provisions of Circular 09 dated June 3, 2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating the disclosure in the activities of educational institutions in the national education system. Information disclosed according to regulations includes: General information about the educational institution; financial revenue and expenditure; conditions to ensure the quality of general education activities; plans and results of general education activities.

The Department also requires the school to strictly implement the regulations of the education sector, ensuring the rights and legitimate aspirations of the school's students. At the same time, the school must report the implementation results to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training (through the Secondary Education Department and the Department Inspectorate) before August 16, 2024.

Previously, public opinion was stirred up by the fact that a 12th grade student at Ngo Quyen High School - Dong Anh received a decision to "stop training" from the school on the grounds that it did not meet the training needs as requested by the student's parents. The training suspension period is from August 10, 2024.
