At the Black Jelly production facility in Tuc Nga village, Duc Xuan commune (Thach An, Cao Bang ), Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong and dozens of workers are busy producing Black Jelly and packaging products to send to customers who order online in many provinces and cities. This facility has been in operation for nearly ten years, creating jobs for dozens of workers, and each year consuming dozens of tons of raw materials to make Black Jelly locally.

To be able to maintain and develop this facility, Ms. Huong has to work every day to update information online, sell products online to customers, and search for and exploit market information and fair information, in order to bring her goods to customers and new markets.

Ms. Huong said: "Working in the field of producing Black Jelly products, the requirement is to produce products with standard quality, ensuring food safety and hygiene, along with having to access market information and customer information to be able to bring products to the market. Every day, I have to update information on social networking platforms, while posting information promoting my products on social networking sites and e-commerce platforms, and at the same time exploiting information related to the market, such as newly opened supermarket systems, product promotion fair programs, etc., to bring products to customers. If we do not continuously update information, it will be very difficult to develop, so to maintain production, I think that applying social networks to consume products is still the most important."

To develop her family's Homestay tourism service model, every day Ms. Ly Ta May spends a lot of time on social networks, both to update and to post information about Homestay tourism services on social networks to attract tourists. This is a familiar and quite important job for her.

Sharing with reporters, Ms. Ta May said: "Updating information every day has become familiar to me, and it is very important for the work that my family is doing. I have to post information to advertise services, invite customers, contact and connect with travel companies to connect with them, and attract customers to my home. If I do not constantly update, my home will fall behind and lose customers immediately."

I think that acquiring and updating information is very important in an economic development environment, and it is even more important in the tourism sector. If we are poor in information, we are considered to have lost to others and cannot compete with them, so not only my family, but also many families working in tourism in Sa Pa must constantly update information, from there we can keep up with the rapid and sensitive development as it is today - Ms. Ta May said.

Currently, for ethnic minority women working in the tourism service sector in Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province, the use of social networks has become familiar and plays an important role in their work. Because all advertising transactions and customer interactions are mostly through social networking platforms such as Facebook, Telegram, Zalo. Not only with domestic customers, but also foreign customers often connect through social networking platforms.

Ms. Ly May Pham, President of the Women's Union of Ta Phin commune, said: "Today, ethnic minority women in the locality are quite proficient in using social networks, from which they can apply them to develop the service economy very conveniently. Not only domestically, but also international tourists, when they want to learn about and buy local services, they can exchange and book services through social networks. I think these are quite important steps forward for ethnic minority women in the current 4.0 era."
