On July 30, Cua Lo ward launched a campaign to clear traffic safety corridors and handle encroachment on sidewalks and roadsides with the goal of building a civilized urban area, ensuring aesthetics and safety for residents and tourists.

Along many central roads such as Nguyen Sinh Cung, Binh Minh, Sao Nam... it is not difficult to see businesses displaying tables and chairs and erecting advertising signs all over the roadway and sidewalk, posing a potential safety risk to traffic participants.

That situation not only affects the urban beauty, but also goes against the direction of building the image of Cua Lo as a civilized, friendly, and safe coastal tourist city.

In response to the urgent need to restore urban order and ensure a clear and safe traffic corridor, on July 30, 2025, the People's Committee of Cua Lo Ward launched a campaign to handle violations of traffic safety corridors in the area.

The remaining businesses were required to sign a commitment to strictly comply with regulations on urban order and traffic corridors.

This clearance activity was carried out seriously and resolutely, but also ensured propaganda and mobilization. During the working process, the working groups combined to remind and disseminate to the people and business households about the importance of protecting public spaces, contributing to preserving the beautiful image of the coastal city of Cua Lo - which welcomes millions of visitors every year.

Speaking to reporters, the leader of the People's Committee of Cua Lo Ward said: "The correction of encroachment on traffic safety corridors is not only a temporary solution, but will be maintained regularly from now until the end of the year. In particular, the ward will organize 3 more peak periods, and at the same time arrange forces to monitor and handle daily to avoid re-offending."

The ward representative also emphasized that the locality really hopes for consensus and cooperation from the people and businesses because building a civilized urban area cannot be done by the government alone, but requires the joint efforts of the entire community. A clean, civilized and safe coastal urban area is not only the desire of the local people but also a prerequisite to retain tourists and promote sustainable development of Nghe An tourism industry.
