Lang Ward examined and gave gifts to more than 330 meritorious people.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on July 26, Lang Ward coordinated with the Transport Hospital to organize a program of medical examination, consultation and gift giving to policy beneficiaries in the ward.

As a locality with a large number of meritorious people, in recent times, the work of repaying gratitude, showing gratitude, and taking care of meritorious people has received special attention from the Party Committee, government, and people of Lang ward through specific actions, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of policy beneficiaries.

On the occasion of July 27 this year, Lang ward organized visits, gave gifts, met and implemented policies for families of war invalids and relatives of martyrs with many practical activities, such as: Organizing 3 groups to burn incense at the families of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; offering incense at 2 stele houses, memorials of heroic martyrs; offering incense at the Hanoi City Martyrs Cemetery; lighting candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs; organizing medical examination, consultation and gift giving programs for policy beneficiaries in the ward...

At the program, doctors and nurses performed general examinations, ultrasounds, electrocardiograms, sample collection, and in-depth consultation on chronic diseases for more than 330 war invalids, sick soldiers, and meritorious people. Each person was warmly welcomed, examined, and instructed on a health care regimen, nutrition, and exercise appropriate to their physical condition and age.

In addition to health check-ups, more than 100 families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids and martyrs were also given meaningful gifts by the ward.

Attending the medical examination, Mr. Dao The Toan, 75 years old, a 4/4 war invalid (group 22, Lang ward) excitedly said: "I used to fight to protect the Fatherland in the Southeast battlefield in the 1970s. I am old and sick, now that the locality invited me to come for medical examination, treatment and gifts, I am very happy. These concerns have encouraged us to live happily, live healthily, and live usefully for our families and the community."

The program is a practical activity, demonstrating the good tradition, affirming the role and social responsibility of Lang ward in the work of "Repaying gratitude"; demonstrating the responsibility and sentiment of all levels, sectors, agencies, units and people in the ward for implementing preferential policies for people with meritorious services, aiming to better care for the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services, ensuring social security policies in the ward.
