Son Tay Ward strengthens prevention and control of storm No. 3

On the afternoon of July 21, the People's Committee of Son Tay Ward deployed Directive No. 01/CT-DU dated July 21, 2025 of the Ward Party Committee on prevention and response to storm No. 3 and heavy rain in the area.

Accordingly, the ward has developed plans for: Responding to natural disasters at each level; responding to strong storms, super storms, tornadoes and prolonged heat waves; searching and rescuing; handling broken electric poles and fallen trees; handling landslides of dike structures; handling situations of houses with blown roofs or collapsed; preventing flooding; providing relief.

Son Tay Ward has also established and completed the Ward Civil Defense Command Committee according to current regulations, with Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Tay Ward Nguyen Thi Thu Huong as Head of the Committee.

At the conference, Chairman of Son Tay Ward People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Huong requested units to closely monitor warnings, forecasts, and developments of storm No. 3 to regularly notify and promptly guide people to proactively prevent and minimize damage caused by natural disasters and incidents. Deploy shock forces to inspect and review riverside residential areas and low-lying areas at risk of flooding and landslides to proactively prepare response and protection plans; prepare forces and means to be on duty 24/7, participate in rescue work, ensure security and order in the area. Check and prepare means and equipment for rescue work according to the "4 on-site" motto; maintain a good on-duty regime, timely reporting information, proactively prepare plans to ensure environmental sanitation, prevent and control epidemics when there are situations of rain, floods, and inundation in the area. Check each household living in areas at risk of being affected or unsafe, promptly detect unusual and dangerous signs to proactively evacuate people to safety.
