Pickleball is ranked in the third group - the group of sports regularly present at the SEA Games and national sports (pencak silat; bodybuilding; muay; petanque; kickboxing; bowling; chess, Chinese chess, Go; billiards & snooker; dance sports; vovinam; diving; traditional martial arts; shuttlecock kicking; stick pushing; tug of war; lion and dragon wrestling; pickleball) in the official competition program project of the 2026 National Sports Festival, which has just been approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The 10th National Sports Festival - 2026 will organize competitions in 47 sports. Of which, the group of 22 Olympic sports includes: athletics; aquatic sports - swimming, diving; gymnastics; rowing, sailing, canoeing/kayak, traditional boat; football - 11-a-side football for men and women; men's futsal; wrestling - freestyle wrestling, classical wrestling, beach wrestling; shooting; archery; weightlifting; judo; taekwondo; boxing; fencing; badminton; tennis; volleyball - indoor, beach; basketball - 5x5, 3x3; handball - indoor, beach; cycling - road, terrain; table tennis; golf, triathlon. The remaining 25 sports include the group of 7 ASIAD sports (karate; wushu; sepak takraw, kurash; jujitsu; roller sport, E-sport) and the group of 18 SEA Games sports and ethnic sports.
