The Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, the Korea Creative Content Agency and Seoul Newspaper jointly organized the K-pop Lovers Festival 2024 (a festival for K-pop fans) from August 17 to 18 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, walking street, Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi .

K-pop (Korean popular music ) - a cultural content typical of Korea is increasingly popular all over the world, including Vietnam. In Vietnam, the community of K-pop fans who share the passion for singing and dancing K-pop is growing stronger.

This year, the K-pop Lovers Festival enters its 11th year. The festival is expected to continue to attract young people who love K-pop with many activities such as K-pop exhibitions, K-pop games, MV screenings on demand...; Korean cultural space such as trying on hanbok, Korean folk games, learning about Korean tourism and receiving souvenirs; spontaneous dancing, K-pop flashmob...

In particular, the two nights of K-pop singing and dancing will be the most anticipated K-pop stage of the year for the K-pop lover community. On the evening of August 17, the 12 best young people in the K-pop singing category (K-pop I love 2024 contest) selected from Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City will show off their talents on the big stage with famous Vietnamese singers such as Quan AP, Trang Phap, Cong B - Thanh Cong.

At 7:00 p.m. on August 18 (Sunday), the 15 most talented dance groups (K-pop Cover Dance Festival 2024) selected from Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City will have the opportunity to ignite their passion for K-pop through impressive K-pop cover dance performances with famous Korean dance group Wolf'Lo and singer Grey D.

The best performing group out of 15 groups in the dance category will participate in the world K-pop dance festival in Korea organized by Seoul Newspaper scheduled for September in Seoul, Korea.

Director of the Korean Cultural Center Choi Seung Jin shared, “I hope this year’s festival will be an unmissable destination for young people and people of Hanoi. In the coming time, the Korean Cultural Center will continue to organize more diverse activities to introduce Korean culture and Korean-Vietnamese cultural exchanges to deepen the relationship between the people of the two countries.”
