Quang Hai shines, Hanoi Police officially participate in the National Cup final

On the evening of June 26, at Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi Police Club won 3-1 against The Cong Viettel in the semi-final match to enter the final of the 2025 National Cup.

Right after the opening whistle, Hanoi Police showed great determination when they dominated the ball and quickly opened the score. In the 13th minute, from Quang Hai's precise cross, center-back Hugo Gomes chose a smart position to head the ball into Viettel's net. Just 5 minutes later, the home team doubled the gap. Leo Artur created a delicate wall, opening the way for Quang Hai to make a tricky shot to increase the score to 2-0, leaving goalkeeper Van Phong only able to watch the ball fly into the net.

Despite facing a big disadvantage, Viettel did not give up. In the 36th minute, Khuat Van Khang crossed the ball just in time, Nguyen Huu Thang seized the opportunity to tap the ball into the net from close range, reducing the score to 1-2, giving hope to the away team.

However, Hanoi Police quickly extinguished their opponents' efforts just 4 minutes later. Alan neatly received the ball with his chest, before finishing delicately across the corner past Van Phong, restoring the 2-goal gap before the break.

Entering the second half, Viettel had nothing to lose so they focused all their efforts on attacking, but Hanoi Police still organized a solid defense and did not reveal any loopholes. Pedro Henrique from Viettel tried to break through and shoot but could not beat goalkeeper Nguyen Filip.

After 90 dramatic minutes, Hanoi Police deservedly won 3-1. Coach Mano Polking and his team advanced to the final match of the 2025 National Cup against Song Lam Nghe An . They are full of confidence aiming for their first title in this arena.

In the same day match, the National Cup semi-final between Song Lam Nghe An Club and Becamex Binh Duong took place in an exciting and dramatic atmosphere with an attractive attacking game. In the end, Song Lam Nghe An won 3-2 against Becamex Binh Duong, thereby winning the right to play in the final match.

The 2024-2025 National Cup final will take place at 6:00 p.m. on June 29.
