UAE Cristiano Ronaldo wins the award named after the Argentine legend given to the top scorer every year.
The Maradona Award is one of the Globe Soccer Awards, which is presented annually in Dubai, UAE. The Best Player of the Year award is also known as the Dubai Ballon d'Or.

According to Goal , Ronaldo will win the Maradona award at the ceremony on January 19. In 2023, CR7 scored the most goals with 54 goals. Of which, he contributed 42 goals for Al Nassr Club (Saudi Arabia) and 12 goals for the Portuguese national team. Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane ranked right after Ronaldo, with 52 goals each. Erling Haaland ranked fourth with 50 goals.
The Globe Soccer Awards began presenting the Maradona Award, the legendary 1986 World Cup winner with Argentina, in 2021. The first winner was striker Robert Lewandowski. However, in 2022, the award was absent from the list of 20 awards. Ronaldo was the second winner.
