Director of Da Nang International Airport Phan Kieu Hung and Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Duc Bac - Director of Military Hospital 17 signed the coordination regulations between the two units.

Mr. Phan Kieu Hung said that in principle, the coordination between the two units must ensure proper functions, tasks and expertise, with the highest priority given to the safety of people and vehicles participating in the rescue. The regulations also clarify the scope of coordination between the parties, not only in emergency and transportation.

Accordingly, the two units also coordinate to exchange information and emergency medical documents, advise on initial first aid measures; participate in training and drills of airport emergency plans when approved; participate in emergency care and treatment of victims who are passengers, people receiving and seeing off passengers, and staff working at Da Nang International Airport; and temporarily receive bodies at Military Hospital 17 in special cases, before completing procedures for handing over to relatives.

The regulations also clearly define the specific responsibilities of the two parties. In particular, Da Nang International Airport plays the role of commanding the scene, deploying emergency plans, providing vehicles, human resources and supporting medical forces to access the emergency location. At the same time, it is responsible for providing information and paying for medical service costs when they arise.

Military Hospital 17 is responsible for deploying medical forces to the scene of an incident, providing first aid, treatment, and transporting victims to appropriate treatment facilities. The hospital also receives victims' bodies in special cases and carries out handover procedures according to regulations.

“The signing of the coordination regulations with Military Hospital 17 is an important step in the process of professionalizing the operational and emergency response procedures at Da Nang International Airport. This will not only help minimize risks and damages when incidents occur, but also contribute to strengthening passengers' trust in the quality of services at the airport,” said Mr. Phan Kieu Hung.
