Cam Lo has an average rice area of about 1,700 hectares per crop. In recent years, the district has always paid attention to linking with businesses to produce organic rice and natural farming. However, the area is still small, the whole district has only 60 hectares linked with Quang Tri Trading Corporation Joint Stock Company.
According to the plan, from the 2024-2025 winter-spring crop, Cam Lo district will develop about 100 more hectares of organic rice and natural farming.

To achieve the set goals, the People's Committee of Cam Lo district currently requires communes and towns to review planning, select and propose priority areas for organic rice production and natural farming, ensuring conditions such as proactive irrigation, flat fields, and prioritizing areas that have been consolidated and exchanged plots...
For the communes of Cam Hieu, Cam Thuy, Thanh An, each commune must have at least 35 hectares of naturally cultivated rice; the remaining communes must implement depending on the actual situation of the locality.
