Soon concretize the project of using Matcha from Thai Nguyen tea to produce food and beverages

On the afternoon of July 14, Comrade Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, received Mr. Kohara Shunsuke, General Director of Morigana Nutritionnal Foods Vietnam Joint Stock Company (a member of Morinaga Milk Group, Japan). Attending were leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Health, and leaders of the Chien Cong Group - Morinaga's partner in Vietnam.

Morigana Nutritionnal Foods Vietnam Joint Stock Company owns one of the largest milk factories in Vietnam, with a capacity of 80 million liters/year; The factory is located in Trung Thanh ward, Thai Nguyen province, and was transferred from Elovi Vietnam Joint Stock Company before.

With many years of experience in the field of milk and nutritional beverage production in Japan, Morigana Nutritionnal Foods Vietnam and representatives of the Chien Cong Group are establishing a partnership in researching Matcha products from Thai Nguyen tea to put into Morinaga Group's beverage products.

Morinaga representatives hope that the leaders of Thai Nguyen province will create favorable conditions for the Group and its partners to soon materialize this project, bringing to the market dairy and beverage products with Japanese quality, suitable for the tastes of Vietnamese customers.

Speaking at the reception, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son sent his best wishes to the leaders of Morigana Nutritionnal Foods Vietnam Joint Stock Company. He emphasized that Vietnam and Japan have been comprehensive strategic partners for many years. Thai Nguyen province always respects and cares about Japanese partners coming to learn and research investment in the province.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the food and beverage sector in Thai Nguyen province still has a lot of room for development, especially the advantage of owning the largest tea growing area in the country, which is an abundant raw material area for the production of beverage products; while the demand for high-quality dairy products and beverages is increasing.

He hoped that Morinaga Japan and its partner Chien Cong would research and study on the basis of taking advantage of the province's potential and strengths to soon launch beverage products with Matcha ingredients from Thai Nguyen tea to the market. The province will always accompany investors in the process of researching and developing investment opportunities in the locality; committed to quickly implementing administrative procedures.

Taking note of the enterprises' proposals, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade and the Department of Health to advise on support solutions so that Morigana Nutritionnal Foods Vietnam can soon announce new products in accordance with Vietnamese law.
