The entire political system of Son La province joined in helping people eliminate temporary houses.

According to the summary report of the emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind" in the province, period 2021 - 2025, Son La Provincial People's Committee has directed agencies, units and localities in the province to thoroughly grasp, deploy and develop plans to organize the emulation movement in accordance with the practical situation of the province.

Agencies, units, localities, social organizations, and enterprises in the province develop implementation plans, propose contents and solutions to join hands to care for the poor. The province has mobilized the combined strength of the entire political system, the consensus and cooperation of the whole society in implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction.

In the 2020 - 2025 period, Son La province has completed the project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province and has so far completed the construction of 3,058 houses, exceeding the original plan by 221 houses.

Son La province supports poor households to develop production and change crop structure; supports 1,431 poor people with long-term medical examination and treatment; helps 2,191 poor students with a total tuition fee of 916 million VND...

In particular, the province supports job connections and career conversion for over 9,310 workers; vocational training for 13,155 workers from poor households, near-poor households, and newly escaped poverty households...

Thanks to the full and timely implementation of poverty reduction programs, policies and projects, positive results have been achieved for the province's socio -economic development. The poverty rate in the whole province is only 10%, with an average decrease of over 3% per year in the 2021-2025 period, exceeding the set target.

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Son La province, to achieve that result, the Provincial People's Committee has proposed many policies that are close, correct, and appropriate to the actual conditions in the locality, aiming to support the poor in changing their occupations, creating livelihoods, jobs... helping people have stable incomes and escape poverty sustainably.
