Paolo Ardoino - CEO of cryptocurrency company Tether believes that stablecoins like USDT will help the US fight against the growing trend of de-dollarization in the global financial market. According to him, Tether not only popularizes stablecoins but also promotes USD adoption in emerging markets.
USDT - the world's largest stablecoin is pegged 1:1 to the USD and acts as a form of "digital dollar". President Donald Trump's signing of the GENIUS Act creates a clear legal corridor for stablecoin development.
The act requires stablecoin issuers to comply with anti-money laundering regulations and report suspicious activities. Stablecoins are helping to increase demand for US Treasury bonds, which are being sold off heavily by China and Japan. In countries with high inflation, stablecoins become a financial “shelter” tool for people and businesses.
Ardoino believes that stablecoins are the “trump card” that will help the USD maintain its role as a global reserve currency in the new era. Readers are invited to watch more videos : Iris scanning tool to verify human identity | VTV24
