Yak-130 crash in Binh Dinh: The plane could not release its landing gear.

(Dan Tri) - At 10:38 a.m. on November 6, after finishing the return flight, the pilot reported that the plane's landing gear could not be released. The pilot took emergency measures to handle the situation but was still unsuccessful.


The Propaganda Department (General Department of Politics ) has just released information related to the incident of the Yak-130 military aircraft crash in Binh Dinh.

Accordingly, on November 6, Air Force Regiment 940 (Air Force Officer School, Air Defense - Air Force) organized a daily training flight at Phu Cat airport (Binh Dinh) with Yak-130 aircraft.

On the plane, there was Colonel Nguyen Van Son (Regiment Commander) sitting in the front cabin and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Quan (Flight Manager) sitting in the back cabin. The two officers practiced flight exercise 208, flying long distance - no-fly zone - through clouds in complex meteorological conditions.

This is the 3rd flight, the 2nd flight of the front cabin pilot in the flight crew of the day.

The plane took off at 9:55 a.m. on November 6. At 10:38 a.m., after finishing the return flight, the pilot reported that the plane's landing gear could not be released. The pilot took emergency measures to release the landing gear but was still unsuccessful.

The pilot reported to the flight commander and was allowed to parachute. The two men parachuted at 10:51 a.m. at the TB2 Shooting Range, Tay Son, Binh Dinh.

The Air Defense - Air Force is coordinating with forces of Military Region 5 and localities to urgently search and rescue on the ground and in the air.

According to information from local authorities, the location of the plane crash and the whereabouts of the two pilots have not been determined.
