Accordingly, Mr. Hien was temporarily suspended from work from July 31, 2024 to serve the inspection of the organization of the 10th grade High School Entrance Exam for the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province. The period of temporary suspension is 15 working days.
During the inspection, Mr. Hien is responsible for providing full information and relevant documents as requested by the Head of the Inspection Team and competent authorities, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
Along with that, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province also issued a Decision on assigning the responsibility of managing the activities of the Department of Education and Training to comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee during the time Mr. Hien was temporarily suspended from work.
Previously, on July 30, 2024, Vice Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee Lai Van Hoan signed an inspection document regarding the organization of the 10th grade entrance exam that took place recently.
The move by the People's Committee of Thai Binh province took place in the context that parents of students recently sent petitions to authorities and informed the press about "irregularities" in the Literature and Math exam scores, because there was a huge difference between the first exam scores and the re-examination scores.
Parents' skepticism is well-founded because their children are directly affected by the grading method for the 10th grade graduation exam by the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province.
Some parents said that this is a serious problem in the examination that needs to be clarified because the number of candidates who apply for re-evaluation is not small. Therefore, it is impossible for the examiners to be "negligent" in their assigned tasks.
Public opinion in the area hopes that the inspection will be done properly according to the correct procedures, clearly determining the rights and wrongs of individuals and units related to the "unusual" exam scores for grade 10 in Thai Binh province.
