Donate tables and chairs to educate environmental awareness

On July 23, 2025, Pham Van Hinh Secondary School (Tay Do Commune, Thanh Hoa Province) received 60 sets of student desks and chairs recycled from collected plastic waste within the framework of the project "A New Life for Waste - A new life cycle for waste". The product is a collaboration between GNI and PLASTICPeople to collect, process and recycle collected plastic waste.

This is not only a material gift, but also the result of the joint efforts for the environment from more than 3,700 students at 6 secondary schools in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. They actively participated in communication activities, collecting and classifying plastic waste.

The 60 sets of tables and chairs donated are evidence of the journey of transforming plastic waste into resources, aiming to reduce plastic emissions. At the same time, it provides necessary facilities for the school in the context of the number of students expected to increase in the new school year.

“This is a very meaningful gift for the school as the new school year will see an increase in students and students will have enough desks and chairs to use. What’s more, this is a recycled product that contributes to the goal of reducing emissions and protecting the environment. We are committed to using and preserving it effectively!”, shared Mr. Trinh Dinh Thao, Principal of Pham Van Hinh Secondary School.

GNI believes that every small action, from picking up a bottle to recycling a set of tables and chairs, can create big changes for the community and the Earth. The journey “A new life cycle for trash” will continue to be expanded to spread the spirit of responsibility, creativity and practical action for the environment.

“A New Life for Waste - A new life cycle of waste” is a project implemented by GNI in 2025 at Binh Hoa Secondary School (HCMC) and 05 other secondary schools in Hanoi to help the young generation raise awareness, practice and maintain waste classification at source.
