Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa and the delegation to explore cooperation opportunities in Thai Nguyen. Providing general information about the socio -economic situation and some outstanding characteristics, potentials and advantages of the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: Currently, Thai Nguyen is one of the localities with a large area, population and development space in the Northern Midlands and Mountains. On one side, it borders the capital Hanoi and the Northern key economic region, on the other side, it borders the provinces with international borders and border gates for trade with China; the traffic infrastructure is relatively synchronous and convenient.
Therefore, Thai Nguyen aims to become an important growth pole of the Northern region. The province always welcomes, supports and is ready to cooperate with businesses to invest and do business.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the Pacific Construction Group for ranking 161st out of 500 leading global enterprises in 2024 according to Fortune Magazine, and 47th out of 500 largest enterprises in China, with strengths in construction of traffic works, irrigation and urban development - this is also the field that Thai Nguyen is interested in and prioritizes breakthroughs in the coming development period.
He suggested that the Group pay attention to and study cooperation with Thai Nguyen in the construction of the Hanoi - Cao Bang expressway through Thai Nguyen, to enhance the ability to connect trade with border provinces and international border gates between Vietnam and China. At the same time, pay attention to cooperation in building a traffic route with a length of about 100km connecting Thai Nguyen - Lang Son, this is one of the key projects that Thai Nguyen is proposing to the Government to assign the province as the managing unit to implement in the coming period.
Thai Nguyen province also requested the Group to pay attention to investing, introducing and attracting secondary units to invest in industrial parks and clusters in the province, especially in the fields of high-tech industry and tourism...

On the basis of discussion and high consensus on a number of directions in the fields of cooperation, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to be the focal point, immediately after the working session to connect with the Group to propose specific cooperation contents. The immediate priority is to promote the establishment of the Group's representative office in Thai Nguyen to facilitate exchanges, support cooperation, and contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.
