Vietnamese racer Alex Sawer Hoang Dat is competing impressively at the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship 2025, with an absolute winning record in 6 races.

In the second race of the 2025 F4 Southeast Asia Championship taking place in Buriram, Thailand on May 24 and 25, Vietnamese-American racer Alex Sawer Hoang Dat excellently finished in first place in all 3 races.

Previously, in the first race of the 2025 season taking place in Malaysia (May 3 and 4), the racer with mixed Vietnamese and British blood also won all 3 races.

Vietnamese racer has started on pole position 4 times

Alex Sawer Hoang Dat won the race outright, in a total of 6 laps in the last 2 races. Notably, in the 6 first-place finishes mentioned above, the 17-year-old racer started 7 times in pole position (started in the first position, thanks to the best performance in the qualifying round). At the same time, Alex Sawer Hoang Dat also holds the fastest lap (the lap that a racer completes in the shortest time).

Alex Sawer Hoang Dat's excellent performance helped him lead the 2025 season standings, with 188 points, creating a gap of up to 80 points compared to the second-placed Seth Gilmore (108 points).

In the coming time, Alex Sawer Hoang Dat will compete in stage 3 in Chonburi, Thailand from July 4 to 6. Stage 4 will be held in Sepang, Selangor (Malaysia) from September 5 to 7. Stage 5 continues in Sepang, Selangor (Malaysia) from September 19 to 21.

The 2025 F4 Southeast Asia Championship will have 5 races (3 in Malaysia and 2 in Thailand) and a total of 14 races. Each race will have 3 races, except for race 3 in Chonburi (Thailand) which will have only 2 races.

The F4 Southeast Asia Championship took place for the first season in 2016 - 2017, is a regional formula racing tournament, organized according to the standards of the International Automobile Federation (FIA). This is considered an important stepping stone for young racers on the journey towards higher tournaments such as F3, F2 and F1.
