Call display (caller ID) of the name of the agency, organization, bank or business brand is quite popular now...

However, listeners should not be quick to believe or follow the request, because the display of the caller's name and number can be completely faked.

According to experts from the Anti-Fraud Project, when making calls over the internet (VoIP), scammers can easily use software or services such as “Cobra Calls” to fake both the name and phone number. This is like writing any name and address on an envelope, which looks real but is actually a scam.

Therefore, people should pay attention to the following skills: When receiving a suspicious call, hang up immediately. Do not call back the number just called, even if it is the same as the real number. Then look up the official number yourself on the relevant agency's website...

People need to remember, absolutely do not provide personal information such as name, citizen identification number, OTP code, address, bank account...

Government agencies or banks do not request information over the phone. If verification is needed, people should ask the caller to send an official document, not provide an address because the government agency already has it.

At the same time, contact the head of the residential group and the police station where you live to verify or report when necessary.
