Canh Chim Lake has an area of 27 hectares, a capacity of over 1 million m3, with the task of providing irrigation water for 25 hectares of rice, 115 hectares of sugarcane of Ha Trung Agricultural - Industrial Company and providing domestic water for 195 households in Ward 10, Ba Dinh Ward. In addition, the lake also has potential for tourism , spirituality and eco- tourism and potential for aquaculture in the lake. This is also a place that provides significant aquatic resources for local people. Releasing fish fry into Canh Chim Lake is an annual activity, aiming to restore and regenerate aquatic resources that are increasingly being depleted, contributing to ensuring ecological balance and preserving biodiversity in Canh Chim Lake.
