Thai Nguyen: Striving to achieve food output of over 625 thousand tons

After the province merger, currently, the total area of grain crops in Thai Nguyen province has reached more than 55,300 hectares. Of which, the rice area has reached more than 37,100 hectares, and the corn area has reached over 18,200 hectares.

Compared to the annual plan, the rice and corn planting area reached a high level, reflecting the initiative of the functional sector and people in agricultural production. In 2025, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment aims to complete a total food output of 625,843 tons, of which rice output is 493,507 tons and corn output is 132,336 tons.

To complete the set plan, the Department of Agriculture and Environment continues to promote technical solutions, replicate effective farming models, encourage people to apply mechanization in production, aiming to develop agriculture in a sustainable and modern direction.
