On January 3, in Gia Lai, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) coordinated with the People's Committee of Gia Lai province and Ho Chi Minh City University of Education to organize a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Minister of Education and Training on the establishment of a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Gia Lai on the basis of Gia Lai Pedagogical College.
Over the past 45 years, Gia Lai Pedagogical College has played an important role in training and fostering human resources for the Central Highlands region in general and Gia Lai province in particular.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich, Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, said that the branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Gia Lai will meet the needs of teacher training and development and human resource development for Gia Lai province and the Central Highlands region.
The school has trained thousands of excellent teachers, making important contributions to the province's education , especially in improving people's knowledge, eliminating illiteracy and developing high-quality human resources in remote areas.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich, Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, said that the establishment of the branch not only inherits the good traditions of Gia Lai Pedagogical College but also opens up many new learning opportunities for the local young generation, promoting the existing role and capacity of the two schools. At the same time, it creates conditions for students in Gia Lai and the Central Highlands region to access high-quality university education without having to travel far, helping to save costs and meet the needs of socio-economic development in the new situation.
Mr. Huynh Van Son, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, presented flowers to thank the leaders of Gia Lai province.
