There are six topics discussed including soft power and people-to-people diplomacy ; sustainable economic and community development; global environment and climate change; risk reduction and post-disaster recovery; health and wellbeing; digital society.

Improve waste management to protect the environment

At the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), delegates discussed the topic of sustainable economic and community development. Most of the opinions of young people focused on pointing out the importance of sorting waste at source, increasing recycling and reuse, and proposing solutions for resource and waste management.

Many delegates also emphasized the need to strengthen education for the younger generation about the importance of sustainable development through diverse methods suitable for young people such as "green" courses, coordinating with many companies and organizations to design field trips to learn about sustainable development models.

Meanwhile, at the University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City), delegates discussed the topic of risk reduction and post-disaster recovery, emphasizing the importance of proactive measures to reduce the impact of natural disasters and enhance community resilience.

This approach includes identifying and mitigating risks, preparing communities, and strengthening infrastructure to better cope with disasters.

Youth delegates discussed the current laws and regulations related to waste management in each country. Likewise, they also highlighted the important role of government policies and guidelines in reducing, recycling and treating waste.

In particular, public education and awareness raising about the impact of waste are of great importance. Delegates said that there should be targeted campaigns and the integration of waste management education into the curriculum. Everyone needs to have a sense of shared responsibility, from individuals to businesses, to take responsibility for their waste.
