The Youth Union movement has had many positive changes, increasingly going into depth and promoting the spirit of shock and volunteerism of the youth. Volunteer activities are organized in a variety of ways, closely following the political tasks and practical needs of the locality such as: Participating in building new rural areas, protecting the environment, donating blood, supporting teenagers and children in difficult circumstances.

Secretary of Tan Dong Commune Youth Union Nguyen Thi Thu Thao said that many youth projects and tasks have been effectively implemented, contributing practically to socio -economic development, strengthening national defense and security, and building cultural life in the locality. Through these activities, the union members and youth have been trained in responsibility, social skills, and aroused patriotism and community awareness.
The models of “Volunteer Saturday - Green Sunday” are maintained regularly through environmental sanitation, tree planting and care, waste collection, and elimination of pollution “black spots”… These are activities that are both close to the community and create good habits for union members, youth and people.
Not only bringing practical benefits, the TNTN movement also left many touching stories. Ms. Nguyen Thi Chuyen, in Tan Phuoc 4 hamlet, Tan Dong commune shared: “My family and I were very touched when the members of the Youth Union and young people came to help clean up, dismantle the house, and support the working days to rebuild the house when the State supported my family with a house in the Government 's program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
The union members and young people work very enthusiastically and responsibly, not afraid of the sun or rain. Thanks to that, my family has reduced some of the difficulties and gained more confidence and motivation in life. Seeing the enthusiasm of the youth to support, everyone in the neighborhood is happy and loves them."
According to Tan Phuoc 1 Commune Youth Union Secretary Bui Ke Binh, through volunteer activities, union members and young people are challenged, trained, dedicated and mature, have the opportunity to approach reality, practice skills and expertise, perfect knowledge and personality and accumulate life experience.
The Youth Union Movement has aroused the vanguard spirit of the youth, promoted the role in socio-economic development, effectively participated in cultural, educational, health, environmental protection activities, maintained order and traffic safety. The activities of the Youth Union Teams have contributed to strengthening the Youth Union organization, especially in difficult rural areas; strengthened solidarity and cohesion between cadres, union members and young people, enriched the content of activities, and created a clear step forward in the Youth Union, Association and Team movements at the grassroots level.
Through the Youth Union movement, at Tan Phuoc 1 Commune Union, effective models and projects have appeared, such as: The model "Bright - green - clean - beautiful roads" is a creative and effective way, contributing to helping the locality improve the quality of new rural construction.
This model not only beautifies village roads and alleys, but also creates solidarity thanks to the participation of the State and the support of the people. The model has promoted the role of cadres, civil servants and the masses in actively participating in protecting the living environment, creating local environmental landscapes, building bright - green - clean - beautiful residential areas, gradually improving the appearance, forming a civilized lifestyle, contributing to the implementation of one of the criteria for urban civilization in Tan Phuoc 1 commune.
In addition, Tan Phuoc 1 Commune Union also implemented the project of paving green stone on the roads to upgrade and improve rural traffic, especially in areas with dirt roads and muddy roads. This project helps people travel easier, more convenient and safer, especially in stormy weather conditions.
Through activities promoting the spirit of volunteerism and initiative of young people in socio-economic development, contributing to creating conditions for people to travel easily during the rainy and stormy season and contributing to improving the quality of new rural communes.
For young people, participating in the TNTN movement is an opportunity to challenge themselves, learn and grow. Huynh Huu Toi, a member of the Tan Thuan hamlet, Tan Phuoc 1 commune, said that participating in the TNTN movement brings many benefits, including developing skills, expanding relationships, creating solidarity, enhancing self-esteem and a sense of social responsibility; at the same time, promoting the enthusiasm of youth as well as having the opportunity to make positive contributions to the community and locality.
At My Thanh Commune Youth Union, the local Youth Union movement has developed in both breadth and depth, with many systematic, practical activities that meet the needs of the community. Union members and young volunteers actively participate in building new rural areas, protecting the environment, supporting people to use online public services, and administrative reform.
Since then, many effective models have been implemented such as: Youth Union Team supporting the “One-stop” Department; “Volunteer Saturday”, “Green Sunday” associated with environmental protection, building new rural landscapes; participating in maintaining security and order, improving people’s lives…
In particular, on holidays and Tet, especially the anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, "Repaying gratitude" activities such as taking care of and cleaning martyrs' steles, visiting families with meritorious services, lighting candles in gratitude, etc. are organized solemnly and meaningfully, attracting a large number of union members and young people to participate, spreading the spirit of responsibility, sharing and compassion in the community.
AFFIRMING YOUTH
The Youth Union movement implemented in Dong Thap province is not only about building works, but also about creating trust in society for today's young generation. From the Youth Union Summer Campaign 2025, with more than 139 km of rural roads, 21 bridges renovated and newly built, 55 km of street lights lit; from supporting people to remove temporary houses to 9,000 children learning to swim and more than 700,000 people being supported in digital transformation when operating 2-level local governments, each number bears the mark of the pioneering and proactiveness of the youth.

In particular, 2,052 outstanding members were introduced to the Party, of which 114 comrades were admitted right in this year's Summer Youth Campaign, affirming that the campaign is the most practical school for members and young people to practice, contribute and mature.
Dong Thap youth today are continuing the heroic history of their fathers and brothers with silent feats, from remote areas, borders to cities. With the key projects created, union members and youth not only bring youthful strength, but also passionate hearts and will to create a new face for their homeland.
Comrade Le Hoang Quyet, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Dong Thap province, Head of the Youth Union and Children's Affairs Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province, said that the 2025 Summer Youth Campaign has affirmed that Dong Thap's youth is the core force in community movements, from building new rural areas, protecting the environment to pioneering digital transformation.
To maximize the potential of this force, Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union focuses on breakthrough solutions. In particular, promoting multi-platform communication, emphasizing the humanistic value of volunteer activities, thereby arousing self-awareness in each citizen, aiming to turn volunteering into a self-action, spreading from youth to the community.
At the same time, apply digital technology to connect and expand influence, use social networks to connect volunteer networks, optimize resources between localities. Develop volunteer campaigns through social networks, creating opportunities for union members and youth to participate flexibly wherever they are.
Specialize volunteer activities, organize specialized volunteer teams by field (healthcare, technology, education, etc.), promote the strengths of each target group such as: Young intellectuals, young civil servants, students, Armed Forces, high school students, etc. towards sustainable solutions, solving social problems at their roots.
Along with that, promote the implementation of the Central Youth Union's policy of 3 linkages (local linkage - force linkage - community linkage) by mobilizing the joint efforts of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, businesses and the entire population, creating a combined strength to multiply the value of volunteer activities for the community... In this way, the Youth Volunteer Movement not only maintains its strength but also becomes a driving force for the sustainable development of Dong Thap.
