According to the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation Center, Yeongam is a district located in Jeollanam Province, South Korea, famous for the ancient village Yeongam Gurim Hanok with historical architecture of about 2,200 years, along with many unique cultural festivals. This is also a place where traditional arts and culture are preserved and developed from generation to generation.
With many similarities and love for Hoi An, Da Nang - the land of ecology, culture, tourism and creativity of Vietnam; artists from Yeongam district bring performances, exchanges with artists, people and tourists in Hoi An. Specifically, in two performances on August 4 and 5 in Hoi An, the audience will enjoy a colorful street art program through the performance of artist Mo Hyeyun - who was honored by the Korean Arts Council as a young artist inheriting traditional music and artist Lee Seon Jin - a 25-string Gayageum artist who won the Presidential Award. The artists will bring to Hoi An special performances, adapting contemporary Korean music on traditional instruments.

The program also featured an exchange performance by the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation Center Art Team, bringing a combination of Vietnamese and Korean performances that not only demonstrated the spirit of cultural exchange but also affirmed the value of music as a language without borders, connecting communities and evoking solidarity among nations.
A representative of the Hoi An World Heritage Conservation Center said that Hoi An is a land where cultures meet, where traditional arts and contemporary creativity are always encouraged to develop in the spirit of respecting identity and harmony with the community. In that journey, international cultural exchange programs like this one play an important role in spreading the message of an open, diverse and humane Hoi An.
The program "Street art exchange of Yeongam artists in Hoi An" is not only a meeting between artists and audiences, but also an opportunity to continue deepening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea, contributing to introducing Hoi An as a creative cultural center.
