During the working program, Hanoi tourism enterprises surveyed and experienced famous destinations of some provinces in the Mekong Delta such as Con Son, Binh Thuy Ancient House (Can Tho), Con Chim community tourism area ( Tra Vinh ), explored Ham Luong River, surveyed Dong Tam snake farm (Tien Giang)... At the same time, conferences on "Promoting Hanoi tourism" were organized in some localities such as Can Tho and Tra Vinh. The survey trip helped Hanoi travel agencies and tourism service providers in the Mekong Delta provinces meet, exchange, share experiences, and coordinate to connect tours and tourism routes. Thereby, more experience was gained to build community tourism and agricultural tourism models suitable to the resources of each locality.

According to Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang, this activity helps Hanoi tourism businesses introduce products, images as well as the potential for tourism development of the capital. At the same time, it strengthens cooperation and linkage in tourism development between Hanoi and the provinces in the Southwest region; promotes domestic tourism activities through promotion and product introduction.

Information from the National Tourism Administration shows that in the first 6 months of 2024, tourism business activities in the Mekong Delta region have made quite good progress. Specifically, the total number of visitors to the Mekong Delta reached nearly 30 million, an increase of 11.20% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors were over 1.3 million, an increase of 38.72% over the same period in 2023; domestic visitors were over 28.6 million, an increase of 10.22% over the same period in 2023. Total revenue from tourism activities reached nearly 35,000 billion VND, an increase of more than 33% over the same period in 2023.

This result shows that the Mekong Delta tourism industry has made efforts to promote cooperation, linkage and exchange activities with provinces and cities across the country. "The linkage and cooperation in tourism with Hanoi city will create momentum for the Mekong Delta tourism industry to build more high-quality products," Ms. Dang Huong Giang emphasized.
