Meanwhile, candidate Nguyen Duc Binh (Nam Viet High School) happily said that he "hit the jackpot" with the essay topic because he had previously guessed that this year's topic would be about country and peace .
"The essay topic is very current and spreads the message of love for the homeland and country in the context of our country just celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification. I wrote a lot on question 5 of the reading comprehension section and the social argument because it was very emotional. I think I will get 8 points," Duc Binh predicted.
Similarly, My Tam (Hoa Binh High School) also breathed a sigh of relief because she did very well in literature. "This topic has not been new for many years, but the way it is presented is very new, and also relevant, evoking our emotions because peace and love for the homeland are always in everyone's heart," Tam shared.

Commenting on the essay questions of the first year of the 2018 general education program, Mr. Truong Minh Duc, a literature teacher at Le Quy Don High School (HCMC), said: "In general, the essay questions met the spirit of the 2018 general education program. The structure of the questions was guided through the sample exam questions, so candidates were not surprised."
According to Mr. Duc, the topic has a connection in the 2 parts of reading comprehension and writing. The topic is close, the story is good, evoking patriotism associated with existential issues. Students who practice their skills well are guaranteed to meet the requirements. The topic has a classification in question 5 of reading comprehension and question 2 of writing.
"The average score for the literature subject in the 2025 high school graduation exam will be around 6.5-8 points," said teacher Truong Minh Duc.
