Recently, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared information that the iPhone 17 generation will use the Wi-Fi 7 chip developed by Apple itself.
According to Kuo, the iPhone 17 generation and Apple devices launched from late 2025 will have the company's own Wi-Fi 7 chip, which is part of the shift away from third-party suppliers.

This chip will replace the Broadcom chip that Apple is using for WiFi and Bluetooth. Previous leaks also revealed that Apple's WiFi 7 chip will be manufactured on TSMC's 7nm process.
In addition, Apple is also said to be researching a 5G chip and will start using it on its products from next year. Accordingly, the iPhone SE 4 will be the first device of the "Apple" to integrate a 5G chip researched by the company itself.
Apple is also using a factory in India to carry out initial production of the iPhone 17 generation, according to The Information.
The first stage in the product development process typically takes place between May and October. During this stage, Apple seeks to turn a prototype designed at its Cupertino headquarters into a tangible product that can be manufactured on a large scale.
Previously, this process was only done in factories in China. This is the first time Apple has implemented this process in India. The move represents a major step by the iPhone maker to reduce its dependence on factories in China.
Apple currently uses Broadcom Wi-Fi chips, and both companies are involved in a dispute with Caltech. A court ordered Apple to pay $838 million and Broadcom to pay $270 million for Wi-Fi patent infringement, but the lawsuit was dismissed after the parties reached a settlement.
