With the goal of running the first freight train at Cao Xa station on April 30, 2024, the railway is speeding up construction progress to complete the temporary upgrade of Cao Xa station by April 15 with a cargo yard of about 5,400m2 for loading and unloading containers, roads to the cargo yard and station architecture to serve customers.

Next, after the Ministry of Transport approves the investment policy, phase 1 will continue to expand the cargo yard to about 10,000m2, invest in building new related construction items to be able to carry out customs procedures at the station for import and export goods.

Phase 2 will expand the station to approximately 5 hectares. The route for each phase will be based on actual freight transport needs.
