During a visit to Gaza on November 19, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Hamas would no longer be present there after the conflict ended, emphasizing that Israel had destroyed the movement's military capabilities.

According to Mr. Netanyahu, Israel has not given up on its efforts to find the remaining 101 hostages still being held in the Gaza Strip, and has offered a reward of $5 million for each person rescued.

In addition, the leader affirmed that no matter what choice the Hamas armed group makes, Israel will bring all hostages back home.

Mr. Netanyahu traveled to Gaza to receive a first-hand report on combat operations on the ground from the Israeli military. The Defense Minister and the Chief of the General Staff accompanied him on this trip.

The Israel-Hamas conflict in the Gaza Strip, which has lasted for more than a year, has left nearly 44,000 people dead and 103,898 injured. The fighting has also left Gaza in ruins, with millions of people facing shortages of food, fuel, clean water and sanitation.

Since the conflict began, Israel has targeted and killed many senior Hamas leaders.
