At the Conference, Party Central Committee member, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Mai Van Chinh announced Decision No. 1055-QDNS/TW dated December 8, 2023 of the Politburo on assigning comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ben Tre province to act as Acting Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee until the position of Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term is completed.
On behalf of the Politburo, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai presented the Decision and congratulated comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen on taking on the new responsibility of the Party. The Standing member of the Secretariat expressed her belief that comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen, together with the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, will continue to lead and direct the highest completion of the goals, targets and tasks of socio-economic development, national defense, security, Party building and the political system according to the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, striving to build Ben Tre into a fairly developed province in the Mekong Delta region by 2025 and the whole country by 2030.
Acting Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee Ho Thi Hoang Yen sincerely thanks the Politburo, the Central Party Secretariat, and the Central Organizing Committee for their trust and assignment of new responsibilities. Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen affirmed that she will continue the fine tradition of the Ben Tre women's "Long-haired Army", continue to promote the heroic Dong Khoi tradition of the Party Committee that has been cultivated and preserved through many revolutionary generations; constantly study, practice, improve political qualities, be absolutely loyal to the Party's ideals, maintain moral qualities, a pure, exemplary, modest lifestyle, learn and absorb the experiences of previous generations of leaders. At the same time, wholeheartedly, wholeheartedly, and devote all efforts together with the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee and the entire political system to unite and unify, first of all, to organize and implement the targets of the Provincial Party Committee's Resolution in 2024 with high political determination in the spirit of "New Dong Khoi".
Acting Secretary of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee Ho Thi Hoang Yen determined to focus on Party building and socio-economic development, maintain security and defense, accelerate the progress of 11 key projects of the province; effectively organize and implement the Ben Tre Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030 with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister; seize opportunities, promote advantages and strengths of Dong Khoi homeland, overcome difficulties and challenges, successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress and, together with the whole country, determine to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen, born in 1971 in Son Dong commune, Ben Tre city; professional qualifications: Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Politics; Senior political theory. Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen is a cadre who has grown up from the grassroots, having held many positions such as: Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ben Tre City Party Committee; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee in charge of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee. Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen is currently the Chairwoman of the People's Council of Ben Tre province, term X, 2021 - 2026.
Previously, the Party Central Committee decided to discipline and remove Ben Tre Provincial Party Secretary Le Duc Tho from all Party positions at the 8th Central Conference of the 13th tenure on October 2, 2023.
