Oleksandr Usyk (left) continues to defeat Tyson Fury to successfully defend his heavyweight boxing championship belts.

This is Usyk's second consecutive win over Fury, after the match also at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on May 18, 2024.

Usyk maintains his impressive heavyweight boxing record as he remains unbeaten, with 23 wins in 23 fights, including 14 knockouts and nine decisions. In both of his wins over Fury, Usyk won on points.

This rematch win also helped Usyk win up to 60% of the total prize money of up to 190 million USD. While Fury only received 40% due to the challenge clause after the first loss.

Usyk has become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the era of the four prestigious belts: WBA, IBF, WBC and WBO. Previously, only Lennox Lewis was the closest to achieving this feat when he defeated Evander Holyfield and unified the three belts: WBA, IBF, WBC in 1999.

However, Usyk was stripped of the IBF belt due to not having enough time to prepare to defend the championship. The belt now belongs to boxer Daniel Dubois. Therefore, after the rematch against Fury, Usyk actually only owns the 3 most important championship belts including WBA, WBC and WBO.

However, the world boxing world recognizes Usyk as the true "king" of world boxing, having unified all championship belts with his outstanding talent in the ring.

According to Marca (Spain), it is still unclear who Usyk's next opponent will be, after he has achieved all the glory. Previously, this Ukrainian boxer also convincingly defeated another famous British boxer, Anthony Joshua, twice in a row in September 2021 and August 2022.
