In recent times, agencies, units and localities in the province have continued to synchronously deploy many solutions, combining propaganda, mobilization, requesting commitment signing with strengthening management to thoroughly prevent fishing vessels and fishermen from violating foreign waters.

Accordingly, close monitoring and supervision of high-risk fishing vessels has been assigned. In particular, the Provincial Border Guard assigned 46 officers to be in charge of 80 high-risk fishing vessels; the police directed and assigned to monitor 173 high-risk vessels; coordinated propaganda, had ship owners/captains sign a commitment not to violate foreign waters. La Gi town assigned 51 officers to be in charge of 47 high-risk fishing vessels, Phuoc Loc Border Guard Station assigned 20 officers to be in charge of fishing vessels. Phu Quy assigned 19 officers from government agencies, organizations, functional forces and 11 officers and soldiers from Phu Quy Port Border Guard Station to be in charge of 65 high-risk fishing vessels. Ham Tan assigned 17 officers and soldiers from agencies, organizations, and border guards to be in charge of monitoring 18 high-risk fishing vessels... Thanks to that, up to now, no fishing vessels or fishermen from Binh Thuan who violated the law have been arrested by foreign countries.

Regarding the logistics vessel for fishing aquatic resources (BTh-95055-TS, owner Tran Ngoc Chien, Hiep Duc 2 village, Chi Cong commune, Tuy Phong district), which violated the illegal transportation of oil in the Southwest sea, it was sanctioned by the Coast Guard Command in 2023. In addition, this fishing vessel also violated IUU fishing: Losing VMS connection for a long time; the fishing vessel technical safety certificate expired. The Provincial Border Guard Command has issued a decision to administratively sanction the fishing vessel owner with an amount of 35 million VND.
