"I didn't really understand a word of the argument between them. I love both of them and so I tried to calm the situation down. I was completely unrelated, surprisingly!", Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp explained about the argument between manager Pep Guardiola and striker Darwin Nunez, on Sky Sports channel after the match.

At the end of the big match between Man City and Liverpool, which ended in a 1-1 draw in round 13 of the Premier League, Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez and coach Pep Guardiola (Man City) shook hands and exchanged a few pleasant words. But immediately after that, they suddenly changed their attitudes and argued fiercely with each other. The conversation almost turned into a fight, when the Uruguayan star wanted to assault the Spanish strategist. Coach Jurgen Klopp quickly intervened and dragged his player towards the locker room.

According to MailOnline : "The argument between Darwin Nunez and coach Pep Guardiola in Spanish may have been just provocations. It is unclear whether the Premier League will intervene to consider what they said before taking action."

"I think it's just emotion. Pep Guardiola wants to win, we want to win too. Both teams didn't achieve their goals, so obviously no one is happy after the match and these things can happen. I didn't understand a word of the conversation between them," coach Jurgen Klopp shared.

"Nothing happened," coach Pep Guardiola told Sky Sports when asked about the argument with Darwin Nunez. "I'm not disappointed. I'm extremely satisfied with Man City's performance because after 7 years, we know how strong and tough Liverpool are. Haaland should have scored the second goal in the match. That's football, when we can't finish them off, we have to pay the price," coach Pep Guardiola said.

The draw against Liverpool ended Man City's 23-match winning streak at home in the Premier League. The "Man City" (with 29 points) also lost the top spot to Arsenal (30 points), who beat Brentford 1-0 in the late match of round 13 in the early morning of November 26. Liverpool are in third place with 28 points, but they could be dethroned if Tottenham (26 points) beat Aston Villa at 9pm on November 26.
