According to the latest information from leaker Digital Chat Station on social network Weibo, Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone model is expected to be equipped with a dual camera cluster with a resolution of 48MP.

Although detailed specifications have not been revealed, experts believe that the second lens will most likely be an ultra-wide-angle lens, instead of a telephoto lens, due to space constraints inside the foldable device.
Both the main and ultra-wide lenses are expected to have the same 48MP resolution.
Regarding the selfie camera, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that the foldable iPhone will integrate an under-screen camera for the inner screen, while the outer screen (when folded) will use a traditional hole-punch design.
According to Mr. Kuo, Foxconn is expected to start producing foldable screen iPhones for Apple in September or October, to ensure the goal of launching the device in 2026.
Although production is near, many of the product's specifications have not been finalized by Apple. However, the foldable screen will be provided by Samsung Display.
Previous leaks suggest the foldable iPhone will feature a 5.5-inch display when folded and a 7.8-inch display when unfolded, with a horizontal folding design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold.
The device is expected to be impressively thin: 4.5mm when opened and 9.5mm when folded. Apple is also said to be focusing on improving the hinge to completely eliminate the crease on the screen.

Due to space constraints, the Face ID facial recognition system may not appear on this foldable iPhone model. Instead, Apple will likely re-integrate the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
According to MacRumors, the foldable iPhone will have a 4:3 screen ratio when opened, similar to current iPad models. This ratio is considered optimal for both portrait and landscape modes, providing a better reading and multitasking experience.
Analyst Ross Young previously predicted that Apple would enter the foldable phone market in the second half of 2026, with an expected price of around $2,600.
