(Dan Tri) - Tay Ninh province authorities destroyed tens of thousands of illegally transported and seized cigarette packs in 2024.
On November 27, Steering Committee 389 of Tay Ninh province organized the destruction of more than 62,000 packs of smuggled cigarettes seized by authorities in the past.

The confiscated and destroyed smuggled foreign cigarettes included many brands. Of these, Hero, Jet and 555 cigarettes accounted for over 54,000 packs.
These are the exhibits seized by the market management force, police, border guards and Steering Committee 389 of districts, towns and cities in illegal buying and selling and transportation cases in the province in 2024.
The destruction is carried out at the waste treatment area of Tay Ninh Environmental Technology Joint Stock Company, Tan Hung commune, Tan Chau district.
The destruction process was closely monitored by Tay Ninh provincial authorities and representatives of the Vietnam Tobacco Association in accordance with legal regulations.
